Metro Councilman Issues Statement on Economy Inn’s Appeal of Recent Public Health and Wellness Action

Councilman Steve Magre (D-10) has issued a statement concerning the Economy Inn’s intention to appeal a recent action by the Department of Public Health and Wellness:

“I would have to say I am not surprised to learn of the planned appeal. Given the history of problems the Economy Inn has experienced over the years, did anyone think they would not take such an action after what happened earlier this year with their previous reprieve?

It is my hope the Department of Public Health and Wellness will now realize the pattern the owners have used over and over and over again to stay open. Metro Government needs to be serious and deliberate this time in its review of any appeal to ensure the Economy Inn has once and for all fixed its problems or else closes for business.”
