Sewer Leaks into Beargrass Creek

Metropolitan Sewer District said the Nightingale pump station due to a sewer main collapse off of Phillips Lane. The overflow spilled into Beargrass Creek, which may have been as much as 50,000 gallons of sewage.

The leak began around 3:00 PM on New Year’s Eve and lasted until 10:00 PM.
