SkillsUSA, a national competition for high school students in technical and career programs, will be leaving Louisville at the end of its contract in 2020. The convention is estimated to bring about 20,000 people into the area.
One of the reasons that the convention will be leaving is because lack of hotel rooms near the Exposition Center. This is the second convention in about the past year that has announced plans to leave Louisville due to lack of hotel rooms near the Exposition Center.
